My good friend, Lucky, and I, we love coffee. As Lucky has so wisely stated, ‘There's so much coffee in the universe and so little time to drink it in’.....  so we do our parts in universal coffee-drinking and have coffee together about once a week. I am not actually sure if I love coffee as much as I love drinking coffee. You see, I think the best thing about a good cup of coffee is the company. My friend, Lucky is very good company. His favorite coffee is Dunkin Donuts. My favorite coffee is black iced coffee in the Summer and hot Vanilla Latte in the Winter. One of my very favorite things is my weekly coffee meeting with Lucky. We pick a different place each time, usually by the ocean, and we meet just before the sun sets when the day turns yellow and orange and the shadows are very long and coffee tastes the best.

Other than a marriage and our love of travel, Geoff and I share another thing: our favorite coffee shop in the world. It is the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, the one in Mid Valley. It's not the most charming coffee shop I've ever seen, it isn't the best coffee I've ever had but it certainly is our favorite coffee shop in the world. I can't explain the feeling I get when I am in Malaysia. I think we have visited over 20 times and I physically long for it every time I think of it. Being in my hotel room, curling up in my bed and just KNOWING that I am in Kuala Lumpur is enough to make me happy. 

The best cup of coffee I ever had in my life was at the Istanbul airport in Turkey en route to Karachi, Pakistan. I didn't have company. Coffee is very nice in solitude, too.   

And that is all I had to say about coffee.
