The elections are upon us, in full force.  The high drama of winning and losing is making some of us crazy.  I’ve got an older friend who has been so pushed around by the conspiracy theorists that he’s against Muslims, he’s against big government, he’s worried about “them” implanting chips in all of us so they can take away our liberty and control us.  His life is miserable and it’s all because of the elections, elections that trigger ideas.  Ideas are mental constructs and they seldom have solidity.  They are nothing to be afraid of.  Ideas in the mind of my old buddy set him off.  For every one that pushes him one way, there’s another that pushes him in a different direction.  He’s sitting between those ideas in a whirlpool.  

I think a long vacation, healthy food, and some time away from this nonsense would do him the world of good.
